NAUNTON FETE ‘JOCKEY CHALLENGE’ DONKEY DERBY

The Naunton Village Fete and Donkey Derby took place on Saturday 20 June 2009 and, as part of this event, a ‘Jockey Challenge’ donkey race was organised.

The competitors were Timmy Murphy, Jason Maguire, Tom Siddall, Carl Llewellyn, David England, Choc, and Sam Twiston-Davies – with the latter winning the event. Choc finished 2nd and won a blue rosette. I wish I’d been there – as, although I love to see Choc at the races, it’s nice to see him participating in other events too.

Choc’s wife, Meally, has written about the event in her blog, and also provided a photo of Choc aboard his gallant steed!
