THE LESTER AWARDS 09 APRIL 2009

The 2009 Annual Lesters Awards Ceremony (the Jockeys equivalent to the Oscars) was held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham on Thursday 9 April 2009.

Choc won the Lester Award for National Hunt Ride of the Year – for his ride aboard Nenuphar Collonges at the Cheltenham Festival 2008. He was voted for by the general public (including me!) via the At The Races website.

Choc also went to accept the International Jockey of the Year Award on behalf of Ruby Walsh who was absent that evening.
